Swapping the West London spring weather for a spot of sun in the south of France, a number of members of the Octink team recently spent a week at MIPIM in Cannes. Known as the world’s largest property market, MIPIM is an annual event, and as a creative partner of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Octink and Wagstaffs Design were part of their delegation to the event this year.
As a result, we were right at the heart of the London Pavilion at MIPIM, which showcased most of the large developments taking place across the capital. Many of those, such as Battersea Power Station, Royal Arsenal and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park are in fact also Octink clients, so we felt right at home.
Simon Martin, Client Services Director at Octink said that from the level of activity in the Pavilion it was clear to see that the London property market is at the busiest it has been for decades. “There was a really good feeling that London property is in a very, very good state. You can tell that in London of course, just by driving through and seeing all the cranes, but you could really feel it in the buzz at MIPIM. It’s a really exciting industry to be involved in at the moment.”
Of course at Octink, we’re experiencing this positive energy in the property market reflected in how busy we are – we’ve had our busiest January and February ever.
